We don our capes and become reading superheroes, uncovering the real-life superpowers that a love for reading can bring to our kids.
On the Sunshine Coast this issue, we hand the magazine over to the region’s kids! Our amazing guest editor, Amy from Matthew Flinders, has been hard at work attending photoshoots, proofing, writing columns and surviving the chaos of a print deadline. Whilst students across the region have been interviewing locals and putting on their journo heads to fill our pages with their favourite places to go, their favourite books, what they wish their parents knew, and what they feel the future holds for them.
As well as becoming Reading Superheroes, we take a trip up the Bruce Highway to Australia Zoo to check out their fun program of being a Zookeeper for a Day. Such a special experience it’s well worth the drive. And as always, we have a round-up of the best events Brisbane has to offer throughout May and June as well as the usual local news, reviews and more.
We take a drive to the Sunshine Coast to enjoy a kid-tastic weekend in Noosa. And closer to home, we check out the family-friendly festivals that will hit the Gold Coast this autumn. We also sit down and chat to the amazing mamas behind the Coast’s favourite markets – The Village Markets.
